Peter Coster Biography

London born Peter Coster grew up in Edenbridge Kent. At the age of 16 he travelled abroad to Africa, Europe and America meeting people and learning about different cultures first hand. In-between jobs travelling back for short visits to the U.K up until the age of 21 when he set up his own catering business and started a family. A proud father of three children and happily married and still self employed Peter found time to pursue his childhood passion of acting.

Starting off, Peter’s then 8 year old daughter displayed the same passion and through accompanying her to an audition Peter was given the opportunity of reading for the role in a short film. Both Peter and his daughter secured the lead roles as on screen father and daughter. Once tasted, Peter could not contain his hunger for acting any more and trained at the Guildford School of Acting for a year. Acting was only the tip of the iceberg as Peter found his passion spilled over to the production side of filmmaking and soon started writing as well as working in production.

2006 sees Peter’s first short films being made in which he has written and produced himself. Peters Production Company DRAGONS LAIR FILMS along with two friends have combined to form the production Company P.P.R FILMS which made the short film: ‘HUSH’ a dark comedy, which Peter played the  lead, a rapist or is he?

2007/2008 Dragon Lair films has made a pilot for a feature length film called ‘45’, a story of a man who repeats the same day with a tragic ending which Peter’s made as his debut as director. Hoping to take 45 in to the festivals and broadcast on SKY television to create interest for all involved as well as a step toward a feature film Peter is in the process of completing which shows great potential.

2008. Peter is the co-producer and one of the lead actor’s in a feature film being shot in South Germany in March which will be a good start to the year being followed by plans to produce and direct some short drama’s as well as other feature films.

2009. The completed '45' film has done well in festivals around the world, having been shortlisted from over 3000 films to screened at the Oscar nominating Palm Springs Film Festival, not a small feat in it's self as well as Winning best short film in Swansea and Thailand. As well as performing in many fantastic projects this year, Peter also completed filming his next project 'KILLING TIME'.
